Toqué!: what do users think?

Jessie D'Aigle: Toqué is a culinary gem that truly delivers an exceptional dining experience through its "menu dégustation". From start to finish, this restaurant exuded excellence in service, presentation, and taste.Upon stepping into Toqué, we were greeted with impeccable service that set the tone for the evening. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcomed and at ease throughout the dining experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the seven-course tasting menu that proved to be a culinary journey like no other. Each dish was not only beautifully plated but also showcased a careful balance of flavors that left us wanting more. From the first bite to the last, every course was a delightful surprise, showcasing the chef's mastery in combining ingredients to create a symphony of taste. My girlfriend, Julie, and I were thoroughly impressed by the thoughtful execution of each dish and appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. ... And the champagne pairing was excellent.

Isabel Carrier: , nice meeting with Normand Laprise

yx Sun: I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful. The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes. The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.

Milan Nayee: Amazing food, service and ambiance. We had the snails followed by the lamb chops and mushroom risotto. Everything was delicious. Creme brûlée for dessert was also amazing.Cocktails were great, mirage was delicious - only critique would be that they could offer more wines by the glass. But the ones offered were enough to pair with the meal.

Rishi Patel: Nice atmosphere and friendly staff! Enjoyed the dining experience here. The garlic snails and pesto gnocchi were delicious! Would recommend.

Île Flottante: what do users think?

Ju Co: What an experience!DeliciousSuper friendly staffWarm and friendly atmosphere, without fussExcellent place for a special romantic date!

Melanie Qin: This restaurant pushes the boundaries of creativity to the next level. The extra effort in each dish is carefully crafted with intention and elegance. It seems like so many ingredients when the plate is presented, but they all work harmoniously together to give an impactful flavor that feels familiar yet totally unfamiliar at the same time. With the menu changing seasonally, it's without a doubt super enticing for me to go back to discover a whole new set of works of art. Because that's what it was... masterpieces!

Lavanya Kala: . They really took care of us and we had a great time. Strongly recommend a visit! Make sure you do the wine pairings.

Éliane Giasson: Superb experience! The staff is extremely attentive to us.The food and wine pairings were sublime, and the sommelier's explanations were very dynamic. We loved our experience!Thank you so much !

Raphaël Sylvestre Bouchard: , hardwood floors, a few discreet plants and original lamps and ceiling lights. Far from the formal chic of a hotel restaurant, you will agree. Additionally, when making the reservation, I was told that the dress code required business attire. Either. Everyone was well dressed, but following a more liberal and relaxed interpretation of the concept. However, the experience is filled with delicate touches that leave no doubt about the refinement of the place.Apart from the surprise born from my imaginative spirit, the total absence of a map gave us another one. We take the utmost care to ask ourselves if we suffer from any allergies or intolerances to ensure that the one and only 7-course menu

David M: We would give 6 stars out of 5 if possible. The food was unbelievable - every dish we had was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. Highlights included the ceviche, anticucho de pieuvre, the anticucho de canard, and the papa rellena. The ambience was outstanding and the service was fantastic. Reserve ahead to be sure to get a table because you won't want to miss this culinary experience.

Le Diplomate: what do users think?

Jillian Lañada: I reserved here for my birthday and everything was amazing. Aaron and his staff really went above and beyond my expectations 🙌 . The dishes were simple and flavourful. We had an 8 course meal and enjoyed trying all the different dishes. The brussel sprouts were my favourite! The chicken was so tender & juicy and the chocolate cake in the end was just 👌!! I highly recommend to give this place a try if you haven’t already

Antonio Sabella: Loved it! I was invited there on business, so the place was open exclusively for us. 1. Nice setup with a very long bar 2. Unique concept, as large groups are accomodated in the back, which is a kitchen/prep space, but quite interesting to try 3. The food was delicious. The cocktails too 4. The service was great. On this point, we were 18 people and the owner/bartender/server/cook Eric was in shortage of staff. He literally did everything on his own, and it was perfect..the night was a blast. Kudos, I do not know how he pulled that off so graciously..this guy is a top restauranteur!

Guillaume Masson-Delisle: Always flawless.

Julie Massicotte: We went there for a birthday and booked the private room. Impeccable service, delicious dishes and fresh, quality food. Succulent wines and a different atmosphere. We had an 8 course menu and being served one dish at a time meant we took our time and ate all evening.Certainly worth discovering

Marc Antonius: . It's not really the place for a group outing, we go there more for the culinary experience. The staff is passionate and generous with advice. Poor selection of wines by the glass, but excellent in the bottle.

Kevin Taldir: Really friendly, good service. The dishes really taste good and it's nice to see the dishes being prepared in front of us.I like the principle of sharing, I would say at least 5 plates for two people.Good advice for the wine, the little chocolate ganache for the perfect dessert to finish.

Magali Bonhomme: we were 13 people, including one vegetarian and one that had allergies, and we were proposed alternatives that were excellent and highly appreciated. Their wine menu is really fine, with all budgets and excellent recommendations. I was particularly pleased that the staff was able to answer the concern I had on a recent bad review, and I can still recommend highly this place as the quality was definitely there. The 8 course degustation menu was excellent and I will come back again for sure, with a group or with my partner.Thank you Le Diplomate!

Chantal Thomas: With an egg allergy, I judge restaurants on how well they can accommodate me. Will I be turned away at the door, offered the choice between two uninteresting dishes, given weird substitutes - all of these things have happened to me, but never at Diplomate. The staff have always been very careful in preparing my food, offering creative and interesting substitutes, and I have been able to partake in the majority of the menu. I have brought other friends with food restrictions, and none have been disappointed. What a treat to have such a delicious selection of food items!

Cyrus Thomas: A variety of unique and delicious plates with plenty of vegetarian options. Highly recommend!

Tarun Chari: and it's all delicious.

Mike Mark: My go-to restaurant for celebrations, drinks, and everything in between. A unique environment where the chefs let you into their inner circle. You learn so much by watching them perform their craft. The food is always unique and thoughtfully composed. Great restaurant!

JP Karwacki: Careful and attentive service, one of the best wine cellars in town, and an inventive chef behind it whose work in fermentation is especially amazing. Bonus points go to the spacious back room that's perfect for group reservations.

Lyndsey Campbell: One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was amazing, many vegan options and the wine by the glass selection was absolutely amazing. Love this little spot.

Laurel Baker: Love everything about this place. Delicious food. Kind and attentive staff. Perfect size and atmosphere.

Michelle Lee: Fun and flavourful menu with a twist, from the oysters with butter scotch and lemon, to the gnocchi waffles with X.O sauce and fermented vegetables - packed with punchy flavours!

Candide: what do users think?

Squirrel Friend: What an amazing restaurant. Tasting menu has a lot of quality and seasonal ingredients. The highlights of the meal for me were the crab and carrot dish as well as the mushroom oat porridge. I visited Montreal during the snow crab season, so the crab was out of this world. The porridge was savory and hearty. Service was attentive and friendly. The waitresses were so nice and sweet. One of the waitresses was also in charge of making cocktails, and the drink that I got was delicious. The restaurant is in the back of an old church and has a very unique vibe.

Caroline Duksta: . The staff was friendly and professional, balancing attentiveness while giving us space to enjoy our night seamlessly. The food was refreshing, thoughtful and surprising. I appreciate a slow deliberate meal, never feeling rushed nor forgotten. The smoked oysters were delightful and the sea bass was complimented perfectly with the mushrooms and fennel.

Swati S: Food is great. Honey at the end was such a special touch. The service is amazing: friendly, kind, fast between courses, but you don't feel rushed at all. Would definitely recommend Candide for a great night out with really delicious food.Vegetarian options: They were super understanding and accommodating to provide a vegetarian menu, especially with my added inconvenience that I can't eat mushrooms.Dietary restrictions: Very understanding and kind.

Bar George: what do users think?

Martin Berger: . They aren't patient, cut off customers mid-sentance when totally unnecessary, and do not track the table throughout the meal.3. Ambiance... WOW! This building is an absolute gem and it pains me that the food and service don't do it justice.

Nutrizone S.: Stepping into this gem of a restaurant, we were immediately enveloped by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was nothing short of impeccable, with each staff member exhibiting a keen attention to detail that set the stage for a perfect dinner. Our waiter, notably knowledgeable about the wine selections, expertly paired the perfect wine- enhancing the evening's culinary journey. Chef Donnel English is a master. His creations were simply out of this world, each dish a testament to refined skill and creativity. The gourmet gnocchi, hands down, ranks among the top three in the world that I have tried. pillowy, perfectly seasoned, and just sublime. This dining experience was a flawless blend of sophisticated flavors and exceptional service, truly a night to remember. Thank you to all the staff at Bar George for sharing your kitchen and dining room with us!

Cyril BECKER: and everything is tasty the flavour of each dish is well balanced. They have a great wine selection to match your menu. The steak sauce flambée is prepared right in front of you and you will feel the heat.

Organic World Club: Top-notch French restaurant in the heart of Montreal! If you’re looking for a special experience, Europea consistently delights with some of the best food and wine in the world. The best ingredients available turned into art for the eyes and taste buds combined with great service is what drives me to come back. Some of the menu highlights included fresh mint tea, onion soup served in an onion, lobster cappuccino, and more paired with phenomenal wines; also, eye watering variety of deserts — my personal choice for best desert was the maple cotton candy. The highlight of the wine pairing was a mistery wine served in black glass. It was of course outstanding in flavor but also unique in appearance.

Vlora Ahmeti: First of all, let me start with saying this is a dining experience. The presentation is very artistic and the flavors are delicate and to be savored. It's not the type of place to go if your interested is a warm, superfilling comfort meal. Atmosphere is beautifully decorated and has nice lighting. Service was excellent, special shout out to Valentino for humoring us. Would definitely recommend for the experience if you're in Montreal for a few days.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Hard pressed to get children to eat these things.

Frederique Chezet: Gastronomic trip to Montreal at the table of Jerome Ferer "Europea"Magical, exceptional, gastronomic staging

P London: Exceptional.

Arman Izadi: WELL WORTH THE WAITTiny restaurant, huge lines, and for a good reason. The food quality is astounding. Never have I had food this good this fast for this cheap.Main courses under $18 abundant, appetizers under $10, service is crazy fast like a good busy restaurant should be.Get the curry get the bibimbap

Emilie Stewart: .Vegetarian options: Tofu. Get the tofu & salads. Fried Green beans are also delicious and pretty unique!

Maya Jacquier: Absolutely amazing. Automatically became a favorite due to the fast service, wonderful staff and mouth watering food. Delicious food, always fresh and at a wonderful price. I the lines can be long but they can be avoided if you come aliens 5:30, then you might wait only about 20 minutes. One of the best spots in the city, and a must try for anyone passing through Montréal

Sara F: Delicious ramen! Their fried chicken was also great

Billy Leung-Jok: A great izakaya with excellent price points. I've come to this place when it was first opened and I am glad to see this place has not only kept up with the quality expanded their operation as well. Between the 2 of us, we ordered 3 entrées, 1 yakitori and shared a dessert and the check came to $67 before tips. Excellent food and value. One girl was rather abrupt with her attitude but everyone else was nice and friendly.

Wei-Min Hum: . The dishes are to be shared. Very varied choice of fish and meat. A personal taste, I find that there is sometimes too much sauce in the dishes.Very small restaurant, but that's what gives the atmosphere to the restaurant. Not suitable for groups, 4 people max otherwise it is very difficult to find a place. You have to go early at 5:00 PM, otherwise there is a line-up and wait. The service is excellent and very fast. An absolutely must-try restaurant in Montreal!

Chantal Lanthier: We had the starter of Caesar salads, crispy shrimp, and of course the T-bone with vegetables... Yummm... I recommend this restaurant and I'm going back soon to enjoy the magnificent terrace! I recommend!

Peter Holdway: We stopped here for a coffee on the terrace in the sun, but then had a very nice breakfast. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. So why only 4 stars? When we arrived at about 10.45, we asked if we could have coffee, and the waiter hesitated before saying yes and then giving us a lunch menu each. It was only when we looked at other tables we saw that they had a smaller menu. So we asked what they were, and we were told they were breakfast menus. We then asked if breakfast was still available and were told "yes".So, we ordered from the smaller menu and had a lovely breakfast

Eddy Lin: Shoutout to Pascal, probably the best server we had in this trip. Gave us lots of time, no pressure 😉 asked us for our food preference, patiently listing the tea selection. Always had the customer experience in mind. Food was good, just look at how the eggs were done. Kitchen was faster than the drinks bar for some reason, but overall, glad we visited this restaurant

Pastaga: what do users think?

David Pakman: Fantastic restaurant and excellent service. The salmon gravlax is delicious, and they had two great specials the day we went in, one an asparagus and fiddleheads dish with a poached egg on top, and a grilled sea bream. Both were great. Hard to go wrong here.

Jean-Francois Luc Vachon: Concise and small menu, but really excellent and fresh!

Kevin Dobson: Amazing place to eat! So many wonderful tastes mixed with the perfect wine. The staff were very, very friendly and knowledgeable! A special experience!

Christel Jacob: Really a great experience at this restaurant. The dishes are tasty and well explained, prepared with lots of local products. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is attentive, and the wines are worth discovering, all natural! A great discovery 🧡

M. D: Incredible food, creative twist on regular favorite appetizers and entrees. Great selection of natural wine as well. We enjoyed the whole experience and great service provided.

Mymy Bel: Culinary experience I loved!!! The shared dishes satisfied all my tastes, awakened my taste buds, touched my sense of smell and the presentations are like works of art. Very good service, friendly and very competent staff. Thanks to Chefs Francis & Geneviève

Pepe The Trader: The return of the tapas formula that I hate so much. Portion too small for the price. Certain dishes are difficult to share in groups. For a few dollars more, you get a hearty meal in a great restaurant. I still give 4 stars for the service and the dishes are still good, especially the desserts. I don't think this formula will save Pastaga unfortunately. It is time for them to start from scratch and above all change their name.

Quentin Lerognon: Several small dishes to share, each as delicious as the last!Big crush on the oyster mushrooms/ricotta and the incredible cavatelli/lamb, I remain in love with the mushrooms cooked to perfection with the homemade ricotta and the seasoning provided by the chicken skin crumbleVery good wine accompaniment

Charlie V: and it was fabulous. The dishes are original while being warm and comforting, the ingredients are local, the choice of wines/cocktails/etc is very well selected, the service is splendid, the setting is soft and romantic. We've never been there but we'll definitely go back! What a great evening =

Thomas Déziel: For the cutting of the vegetable and the warmth of its service.

BOUILLON BILK: what do users think?

Kayla Seider: My husband and I traveled to Montreal for our honeymoon and had the pleasure of dining at Bouillon Bilk. We had an incredible dining experience! The service was fantastic. Our waiter was very helpful and had a great personality. We had a oysters, scallops and the duck. The food was truly some of the best we've ever had. I am still dreaming about my scallops. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope to be back someday!

David: I do have an expectation that it'd be not just a very good experience but a great and/or excellent experience. A couple of things stood out to me in this regard. The starter bread came with butter, however the butter was still quite cold

Squirrel Friend: This place is simply amazing. The food is creative and delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. The vibe is casual and cozy. The highlight of my meal was the foie gras dessert. Yeah, it sounds kind of wrong but tastes extremely right. Almost like a banana foster with duck liver instead of ton of butter. Wine list is impressive as well. They serve d'yquem for dessert if someone is willing to drop major bucks.

Nicole Caico: Like almost all the other reviews here say, this place is fantastic. The tasting menu was amazing and the bottle of wine the sommelier helped us pick went well with everything. The restaurant is elegant, and all the staff are very friendly and professional.

Alexandre Talbot: to richer dishes

Simon Forest: We had the tasting menu with Canadian and European wine pairings. Each of the five courses was uniquely tasty and well balanced. Wines enhance the flavors of meals. The service was impeccable, with special mention to the sommelier who was very friendly.Great atmosphere.
