Mordecai-Richler Library: what do users think?

Geneviève Fortin: Bright and welcoming place. The layout of this small library is incredible, the collections are varied and well organized.

laurent dartois: Very nice library

Len S: Is the place I go to get a WiFi connection, charge my cell or tablet and read the news paper. Seat down and relax. If I need to go for #2!

Anne-Marie Sapin: I go there often. Very pleasant and very good choice of books.

fatma Bouraoui: Very beautiful, very clean, easy to access and bright

Olivier Lougovoy: Ideal reconversion for a Church as this transformation into a Library and cultural place. The original architecture has been preserved, as have the stained glass windows. In terms of choice of books and comfort, it's probably not the best library in the city, but you definitely have to see this Mile End library, just for the atmosphere.PS: some employees who discuss their personal lives alternating between English and "Franglais" is still a shame for a library...

Michael Howlett: is crazy drafty, so dress accordingly. Sometimes can be a bit noisy, but that's par for the course with most libraries in more urban settings.

Binder Julie: Ideal neighborhood library and a nice selection of books.

Abigail Gu: Small but beautiful public library

Sara Ache: I loved everything about it. The service to give me my library card was super fast. The fact that you can self check books to take home without having to wait.. How calm it is. Basically it's great! Highly recommend itVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Sig McKone: Favorite library in Canada, I can't even read french!

Laura Maciel: Beautiful bibliothèque with great area for kids with books, games, audio books, etc. Highly recommend!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Mat BR: whatever people say, a success in terms of architecture and access to culture in the heart of downtown Montreal! Thanks to the great library

J M: . There are some homeless people that do come in sometimes seeking shelter, sometimes they can be a little disruptive with smell and being loud.Staff here is super nice, I think they are well treated as employees at least I hope so because it shows with how kind they are and seem to really enjoy their job.My only complaint is the HOLD system can be quite slow, after placing a hold on an item that is available, it can take 4-5 business days for you to get a notification that it’s ready. One other time, by the time I went to the library I just found it on the shelf still available and checked it out, I think because I placed it on hold I was able to do so.

henry_b12: It’s perfect. Worthy of Hogwarts. If you’re thinking of going, just drop everything and go. You’ll be glad you did trust me. Just a short walk from the metro. GO!!!!!!

Tally Pun: This is a nice library that kid can read book on another level without disturbing other adults. Parents can read book to their kids. And there is an art exhibit and nice greenhouse space to check out a beautiful flower. Also a kids playground is next to it!!! An awesome place for family to spend time at park and library.

Isaac Urman: It’s a amazing library it has a bunch of computers and so many great books and quiet spaces and also games the best library’ I’ve ever been too

o bongos boy: Wonderful place with caring librarians who go out of their way to help. Bit noisy during busy times as librarians are too nice to tell people to be quiet and rowdy kids from the local schools come with seemingly 0 supervision from whomever is tasked by the school to supervise them. Otherwise a gem. Oldest public library on the island. Wendy, Faith and Dawna are institutions and I will be forever grateful to them for all their help and kindness.

Sean: Nice library. Beautiful greenhouse & wonderful art exhibit. Terrible parking.

Dylan Lawless: The best library on the island. Very luminous, good, comfortable seating and no late fees.

Пётр Шугаев: Oooh, this is a gorgeous and beautiful, quiet place. I was pleasantly surprised today. There was a very friendly atmosphere. Very positive and friendly staff!

Chujj Grumb: Beautiful library with a GREAT audio-visual section. Helpful, kind and dedicated staff/volunteers. Good place 7/3.

nidhi goyani: Its so beautiful library. The best place in montreal to study or read.there is a very amazing greenhouse. I just loved it.

siba siba: The most beautiful bibliothèque I've ever seen in my life, it's like a piece of another world.

Antonina Feneva: Thanks for the wonderful work of the leader of these amazing friends in the team. The people of this library help establish relationships with community members. All of them gather all the energy inside yourself in order to be strong and fill people's lives with leadership care and love. When I sit there, studies social psychology,I was filled with a peaceful feeling inside.Even if clients' moods can fluctuate, they patiently slow down the passage of time in the development of business because they understand that this season happens onlyThank you for the time you have devoted to working on your project. All the best!

Normand Lord: Really Really nice place!Really a very beautiful place! With a smile, 🙂

Raphaële Gosselin Payment: 정말 아름다운 곳이고 매우 흥미로운 무료 활동으로 가득 차 있습니다! 우와! 감동

Suzie Paquette: 리뉴얼 이후 최고! 산책하기 좋아요

Eric Laplante:

Camille Ferrandez: The perfect spot to bring your little ones when it rains and when it’s cold out. This is our favourite library in montreal - equipped with a play area for young kids and a drawing room we always find lots of activities to do with our kids when we come. Be sure to also visit the library during the « heures du contes » during the weekends

Laura Maciel: Amazing library with the best kids area! Lots of English books for kids too. I love it.

Hsn J: A quiet and beautiful public library is like a sanctuary for book lovers. Its book-filled shelves provide a peaceful refuge where readers can immerse themselves in imaginary worlds. Large windows let in natural light which illuminates the comfortable reading spaces and cozy nooks where you can get lost in a book. The librarians, with their expertise and love for literature, add a touch of warmth to this serene environment.

Katia Lo Innes: beautiful library! utopic! the solarium is one of my favourite places to curl up with a book and read

Emmanuelle Hardy-Senécal: Superb family library with a section for young people and a section for children aged 0-3 with games! Can be noisy on weekends. Very bright and a very good selection of books. Why 4 stars then? A schedule that makes no sense. Opens at 1 PM on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday?? With equally bizarre closing times. Got kicked out in the middle of a snowstorm with an infant.

Michelle CG: Great staff, quiet and calm 💛

Olivier Besner Morin: for A+ children.

Sémy Adelise: Friendly staff and wide selection of books

Annyra Ly: My favorite library to study / work on my personal projet ! Absolutely love the architecture there and it's pretty convenient to be close to the metro rosemont ❣️

Eva C.: Beautiful, bright place with play areas for children.

Israa Salem: Lovely staff! They have a sun room for kids the has toys that’s apart from the reading area aswell. They don’t have a massive range of English books for children but the place is so entertaining for kids

Décamps Seia: Excellent library! The staff is very friendly 🌿

Eric “RickyNoye” Saint-Germain: Eric S.

doha raad: Magnificent place, supposed to be silent, except that the booksellers don't stop whispering... I went to every corner, up and down, all the floors, and I hear the "Ssss Cchhh SSss" of both attendants on the ground floor... Yet it is written to respect silence... I've been listening to Bach loudly in my headphones and I hear them chatting... SSS SSS SSS for two hours... It's due mad!!!!!:'(((

Ana Lucia Dawson: super great atmosphere to study in if you want to be productive, beautiful, clean, welcoming staff, very comfortable seats, only thing is the opening hours that can be inconvenient for students because they are only open on weekdays and close at 5pm.

Carl Marinier: Impressive library. You can listen to music there. Which is no longer done given the disappearance of record stores. It is a collective asset to have a beautiful and vast library in a contemporary architectural environment that will stand strong through the ages. I recommend it to Montrealers and people in the suburbs.

Abigail Gu: very quiet

Claude Lapres: Superb place!

Nenatalú V.: are needed. The only down side, is the schedule 😭, contrary at the common rule in libraries

Samuel E Razmi: Great place to study

fatma Bouraoui: Magnificent space. Classy and calm. Good for studying or just reading

julianne ferland: It's a really gorgeous place, but there's a lot of person talking and walking around so it's not the best to read and study

Cityguide: It's a hidden gem in Montreal, but you have to leave an identity card with the security and put your backpack and coat in a locker. Don’t hesitate to ask for directions if you feel lost because indications aren’t clear. Also, check the drawers at the entrance; you will be surprised!

Svetlana: . Most of the things you can do online. The site is useful. To use all of it you need to be a member. But its easy to receive and is for free. There are a lot of floors and pretty different corners with armchairs to your taste. If you need to stuck here for a while, there is a cafe, waterfountains and WCs at each floor. To find out how to find anything here you can take a tour around for the first time or use informstion desks. Besides there are a lot of different events all year round. It is easy to get here on the metro or using bixi. But be careful with your own bike. A lot of them were stolen here.
